In addition to verbal and physical abuse, OMEGA X was also allegedly sexually abused and the group’s legal representative has evidence of this. By the looks of it, the 11-piece band has endured a lot from their agency, SPIRE Entertainment, and their former CEO.

The controversy began when fans witnessed the CEO verbally and physically abusing OMEGA X after their concert in Los Angeles last month. However, it looks like that is not the only violence they have suffered.

In an interview with CBS No Cut News (via AllKpop) on Monday, Nov. 14, the group’s legal representative, attorney Noh Jeong, saw his clients‘ case as a story about young people being held hostage in the pursuit of their dreams and were abused.

To be successful, they had to face assault, intimidation and sexual harassment. He added that band members Jaehan, Hwichan, Sebin, Hangyeom, Taedong, Xen, Jehyun, Kevin, Junghoon, Hyuk and Yechan have all suffered from gaslighting.

This naturally affects them and worries and scares them after they have been abused. When asked about the sexual abuse case, Noh Jeong revealed that they have video evidence of it.

In the past, only men sexually harassed women. Today, anyone in a position of authority can commit a crime when in power, regardless of gender, and thereby violate human dignity.

However, the lawyer stressed that the agency had neglected its duty to protect OMEGA X under the standard contract, which included a clause on non-violation of the artists‘ human rights. SPIRE was obligated to protect the boys but failed to do so.

Meanwhile, OMEGA X will hold a press conference on Wednesday, November 16th at the Seoul Bar Association building in Seoul’s Seocho district to address the issues affecting them.

The controversy began when fans shared a video online showing the group being berated by the SPIRE boss for 20 days after their US concert. The boss shouted at the members and even physically dragged one of them to the ground.

There were also reports that the group was forced to perform on stage despite being ill with COVID-19. It was also alleged that they were called to drinking parties that involved physical contact and touching.

SPIRE then released an apology statement and announced that the CEO had already resigned. However, OMEGA X has decided not to continue its contract with the company and is now preparing legal action. Despite the incident, they assured their fans that they will continue to pursue their dreams.
